PAtrick Stewart PhotoRSC: Patrick Stewart is an Honorary Associate Artist of the RSC, having been made an Associate Artist in 1967. As part of the Complete Works Festival he played Mark Antony and Prospero in both Stratford and London. He was a core member of the company from 1966 to 1982, playing a range of Shakespearean roles including Grumio, Touchstone, Hector, Edward IV, Stephano, Cassius, Tullus Aufidius, Enobarbus (SWET Award - Best Supporting Actor), Aaron, King John, Titus Andronicus, Shylock (SWET Award nomination - Best Actor), Henry IV and Leontes. Other productions included The Relapse, Bartholomew Fair, The Balcony, The Silver Tassie, Enemies, Occupations, Hippolytus, The White Guard, Bingo, The Bundle, That Good Between Us, The Iceman Cometh and Every Good Boy Deserves Favour.

This season: Claudius/Ghost in Hamlet.

Theatre includes: Macbeth (Chichester/West End/Broadway. Evening Standard Best Actor Award. Critics’ Circle Best Actor Award. Tony Award nomination for Best Actor); Twelfth Night (Chichester); A Life in the Theatre (Apollo); The Master Builder (Albery); Johnson Over Jordan (West Yorkshire Playhouse); Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Young Vic); A Christmas Carol (Old Vic. Olivier Award); The Ride Down Mt. Morgan (Broadway); Othello (Shakespeare Theater, Washington DC); The Tempest (Broadway).
