Gareth Williams

Understudy Vladmir and Lucky

After Rep in Sheffield Belfast and Devon, Gareth worked with touring companies Red Ladder and 7:84, whose production of One Big Blow led to the formation of The Flying Pickets with whom he sang bass for 7 years including the No. 1 Single Only You In the West End he has appeared in Jolson at The Victoria Palace and Jail House Rock The Musical at The Piccadilly. Theatre credits include Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Egeus in A Midsummer Nights Dream at Regents Park London, Tony Lumpkin in She Stoops to Conquer, Crusoe in Man Friday, Johnny in For Sylvia, the one Man Show Lennon In His Own Write, and Eddy in Stags and Hens.

Recent theatre includes: Far From The Madding Crowd, and he has toured nationally with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, and The Tempest with the English Shakespeare Company. Other theatre includes Murder In The Cathedral, and Mirad The Boy From Bosnia at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Television and Film: Place Of Execution, The History Of Mr. Polly, Eastenders, Hope and Glory, Touching Evil, Wing and A Prayer, Mahew’s London, Churchill’s People, One Big Blow, and Earth Wind And Fire.
